(about):

Hi, I’m Truong Bao Anh. I was born in 2007 and I currently study at the Japan International School in Hanoi.

Art helps me to express emotions and ideas that words can’t always capture. My inspiration comes from everyday moments, whether in the vibrant streets of Hanoi or the quiet beauty of nature. Through each piece, I aim to share my unique perspective and evoke a sense of connection with others, turning ordinary scenes into something meaningful.

A notebook is more than just a collection of sketches; it tells the story of an artist's imagination and changing style. Sketching is an important activity for me since it improves my visual memory and allows me to experiment with new ideas. Each page becomes a canvas for my thoughts, bringing images to life and allowing my creativity to flow unhindered.

Sketching allows me to explore many artistic concepts, styles, and techniques without the burden of creating a polished final piece. In this setting, mistakes are not feared but rather accepted as part of the learning process. When I pick up my pencil or brush, I am reminded that every line created contributes to my comprehension.

It all started one rainy afternoon when I was sitting by the window, watching the raindrops race down the glass. As I stared, my mind began to wander, imagining those droplets as tiny characters with their own stories, bouncing and swirling as they moved. That’s when I realized why I love animation—it turns the ordinary into something magical. Animation lets me bring my daydreams to life, transforming simple moments into entire worlds filled with color and movement. My inspiration comes from the little things, like the rhythm of raindrops or the flicker of light on water. Animation gives me the freedom to turn those fleeting images into something lasting. It’s a way to tell stories without limits, where even the most everyday scene can become an adventure.

When I first started out in the realm of art, fine art caught my imagination and fueled my creativity. Drawing with conventional techniques and experimenting with other mediums like charcoal, watercolor, and ink, I found great satisfaction in expressing my thoughts and emotions via painting and drawing. Each stroke of the brush or pencil became a means of communicating my inner emotions, and I enjoyed the process of bringing my thoughts to life on canvas.

Although I have no plans to pursue a career solely in fine art, the paintings I created during this formative period hold a special place in my heart. They represent the beginning of my artistic journey and reflect my development as an artist. Each piece of art serves as a steppingstone, a record of my investigation and experimentation, expressing both my accomplishments and problems.
